Just got back from beautiful British Columbia! It was wonderful spending time and making memories with family I haven’t seen in 4 years and having countless opportunities to perform, gig, and share my music with the Kelowna, BC community. I will definitely be back soon! Many thanks to Miles Overn at eiKelowna for not only this incredible shot from my gig at Barn Owl Brewing, but helping me book all my gigs and shows during my 2-week stay and giving me the opportunity to perform internationally once again.
Stopped by the legendary Wentworth Music today on my first day in Kelowna, British Columbia and boy was I impressed by their jaw-dropping selection of both acoustic and electric guitars! Finally got to try out the one-and-only Journey Guitar - carbon fiber travel guitar and was absolutely blown away by its sound, tone, and playability, especially for percussive/modern fingerstyle. Definitely on my list of dream guitars…you can never have too many, right? Let the G.A.S. begin.
Modern Fingerstyle Guitar lecture for the UC Davis Guitar Club was a success! Shoutout to all the students who came thru last night for an evening of strumming and drumming - what a great turnout! Big thanks to the Guitar Club officers for having me. It warms my heart to give back to the community that has brought me up in my fingerstyle career over the past 8 years, and to bring up a new generation of fingerstyle artists. Let’s give it up for the University of Fingerstyle, Davis!!!
Super excited to share that I made the UC Davis Cal Aggie Alumni Association news!!! My story has been featured as part of a series called “There’s an Ag for That,” dedicated to the impact UC Davis alumni are making in our world. Topics covered in this story include balancing music with engineering to make the best of both worlds, and giving back to the community through the power of music. Many thanks to Ashley Han for taking the time to chat and share my story with the UC Davis Alumni community.

I’m absolutely thrilled to share the release date and cover artwork for my debut full-length album! “The Creator” will be released at the end of this month on October 26, 2021, on all digital music streaming platforms and in physical CD format, and will be available for pre-order soon!
Dedicated to all the world’s “creators,” this album celebrates the creativity and intellect of both musicians and engineers, who share the gift of creating something from nothing. The follow-up to my Get Grüvy EP released last year in June 2020, this album has been nearly 7 years in the making - a total of 9 original songs (4 previously released from last year’s EP and 5 newly recorded tunes) all written during my time studying mechanical engineering at UC Davis and living in Davis, CA from 2014-2018.
Special thanks as always to the dream team for making this album possible:
Michael Peterson, Harvest Moon Studios | Studio Recordings: “Somewhere Warmer, “No Wake Zone,” “Out of Sight, Out of Mind,” “Telepathy”
Alex Anderson, Tree of Life Studio | Engineering, Mixing, and Mastering
Sean de Burca, Sean de Burca Graphic Design | Album Artwork and Design
And of course, thanks to all of you who have been a part of my musical journey - I couldn’t have made this longtime dream a reality without your continued support!
